The Campbell Student Union, or “the STU” as students call it, is a place to meet, eat, shop, and hang out 24/7.

Built in 2011, the Campbell Student Union features a comfortable campus living room; plenty of space to eat and study; meeting rooms for small and large student organizations; and a theatre, student art gallery, and convenience store.

Behind the Name

The Campbell Student Union is named for F. Gregory Campbell, who served as the College’s president from 1987 to 2012. Jan Tarble, daughter of the late N. E. and Louise Tarble, donated a lead gift of $7 million and asked that it be named in Mr. Campbell’s honor.
